Welcoming Ella Westenberg & Reilly Neal to the Team

We are excited to welcome Ella Westenberg and Reilly Neal to our team as they begin their careers in hydrography.

Ella Westenberg joins DML with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Marine Science, with a minor in Botany, from the University of Otago. Recognised for her academic and leadership potential, she was awarded the University of Otago Leaders of Tomorrow Award in 2020. Ella has a strong passion for the marine environment, complemented by a range of interests including skiing, tramping, SCUBA diving, art, guitar, and singing. Her diverse background and enthusiasm make her a valuable addition to the team.

Reilly Neal recently joined DML as a Graduate Hydrographic Surveyor after completing a Bachelor of Surveying (BSurv) at the University of Otago, where he specialised in hydrographic surveying. Reilly has already demonstrated a strong commitment to the profession. During his short time with us, he has been involved in a nautical charting survey for LINZ, several port surveys, provided surveyor support for an ROV cable inspection, and assisted in the set-to-work for DML’s new mini USV.

During university, Reilly served on the surveying students executive committee, organising academic and social events. His leadership and dedication to fostering a supportive student community highlight the enthusiasm and teamwork he brings to his new role.

We are thrilled to have both Ella and Reilly join us and look forward to their contributions to DML’s projects!
